We’ll also share the exhibition page in our newsletter and on our social media channels, so your artwork can be seen by fans around the world.
What is the Monthly Art Challenge?
Each month, Anime Art Academy gives you a theme. Create an illustration based on that theme and submit it to us. It’s a great way to challenge yourself, improve your drawing skills, and share your art with a wide audience.

“Magical Girl”
This month’s theme focuses on one of Japan’s beloved anime genres—girls and magic!
Draw your own captivating magical girl character and the scene that brings her powers to life. Cute, cool, or mysterious—it’s all up to your imagination.

Post your illustration in our Discord channel:

Please include:
- Your artwork (image file)
- Your name
- Title of your artwork (optional)
Your name (and the title, if provided) will appear alongside your artwork on the Student Arts page.
📌 Submission Guidelines:
- Format: JPG or PNG
- Minimum size: 1000px on the longest side
- Keep it family-friendly (PG-13)
- Original work only — no AI-generated images
- Fan art is welcome as long as it matches the theme
- No traced/reproduced anime or manga panels
- All skill levels welcome
- One submission per person
